Job summary

PACS is seeking a Staff Physical Therapist Assistant to support the Staff Physical Therapist in resident care. The role emphasizes direct patient care, documentation, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to achieve rehabilitation goals.

The PTA will follow treatment plans, maintain safety and infection control, educate residents and families, and assist in program development and quality initiatives within a post-acute care setting.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree from an accredited PTA program.
• Proficient in Net Health and Point Click Care.
• Ability to read technical procedures and policy manuals.
• Mathematical skills: fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions.
• Reasoning ability to solve practical problems and follow written or oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Treat residents as directed by Physical Therapist.
• Complete timely, accurate, and compliant documentation.
• Maintain a safe treatment environment by following infection control, safety, and equipment maintenance protocols.
• Participate in Resident Care conferences and rehabilitation meetings as needed.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on treatment goals and home exercise programs.
• Recommend and facilitate the ordering of necessary durable medical equipment.
• Maintain confidentiality of residents' information and company data.
• Contribute to quality assurance and facility rehabilitation program development.
• Communicate with supervising PT to keep physicians and staff updated on progress and discharge plans.
