Job summary

PACS is seeking a Staff Physical Therapist Assistant to support the Staff Physical Therapist in providing resident-centered care at our facility. The role involves direct resident care, documenting outcomes, and coordinating with the rehab team to meet treatment goals.

The PTA will assist with training of Restorative Aides, educate residents and families, and help ensure compliance with policies, safety, and equipment guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Education to PTA program (Associate Degree).
  • Proficient computer skills for health data entry in Net Health and Point Click Care.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical procedures and manuals.
  • Strong communication with managers, coworkers, and families.
  • Basic math skills for clinical documentation and care planning.
  • Reasoning to solve practical problems in rehab settings.
  • Ability to interpret written, oral, diagram or schedule instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Treat residents as directed by Physical Therapist.
  • Complete timely, accurate documentation per guidelines.
  • Maintain safe treatment environment per infection control and safety protocols.
  • Participate in Resident Care/ Rehabilitation meetings as needed.
  • Assist with training Restorative Aides.
  • Communicate progress and discharge planning to care team.
  • Educate residents and families on treatment goals and home exercise programs.
