Job summary

PACS is seeking a Staff Physical Therapist Assistant to assist the Staff Physical Therapist with resident-related activities and direct resident care in a post-acute setting.

The PTA will complete timely documentation in accordance with facility, governmental, and payer requirements, uphold safety and infection control standards, and participate in care conferences to coordinate progress, goals, and discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited PTA program.
• Proficient with computer systems and patient data entry.
• Ability to read and follow policy and procedure manuals.

Responsibilities

• Treat residents under supervision of PT.
• Complete accurate documentation per facility and payer requirements.
• Maintain a safe treatment environment and follow infection control protocols.
• Assist in training Restorative Aides and participate in care conferences.
• Educate residents and caregivers on exercises and safety.
• Coordinate with PTs, nurses, and families on progress and discharge plans.
