Job summary

PACS is seeking a qualified Physical Therapist Assistant to assist the Physical Therapist with resident care in a CA facility. You will support daily therapy activities, ensure accurate documentation, and help with discharge planning while maintaining infection control and safety standards.

Responsibilities include educating residents and families on treatment goals and home exercise programs, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team, and complying with state regulations for PTAs.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree from an accredited PTA program.
• Proficient in computer skills such as Net Health and Point Click Care.
• Ability to read and comprehend policy and procedure manuals.
• Licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state; continue education requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist Physical Therapist with resident-related activities and direct resident care.
• Complete timely, accurate, and compliant documentation.
• Communicate with supervising PT and interdisciplinary team on progress and discharge planning.
• Provide education on treatment goals, home exercise programs, safety techniques, and fall prevention.
