Job summary

Tarrytown Expocare Pharmacy is seeking a PRN Pharmacist to provide coverage in a long-term care setting at our Boothwyn, PA facility. The role involves pharmacist verification, order review, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.

The position requires PA pharmacy licensure, LTC or retail experience, and strong teamwork in a fast-paced environment. On-site shifts are typically 8-hour blocks; competitive compensation and career growth opportunities offered.

Qualifications

• Active PA Pharmacist license.
• At least 1 year of retail or LTC pharmacy experience; 3+ years preferred.
• Experience supervising pharmacy technicians.
• Typing speed of at least 40 WPM.
• Experience with medical records is preferred.
• Experience with FrameworkLTC is a plus.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to de-escalate and troubleshoot problems within the pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Manages the workflow processes including pharmacist verification and labeling/packaging.
• Reviews medication orders and evaluate their appropriateness and completeness.
• Complies with federal and local pharmacy laws as regulated by the State Boards of Pharmacy, the DEA, and the FDA.
• Performs all duties with a friendly, positive, team-oriented approach.
• Maintains required licenses or certifications in good standing.
• Complies with all company policies, procedures, rules, and standards.
• All other duties as assigned by the Pharmacist-in-Charge.

As a PRN Pharmacist at Tarrytown Expocare Pharmacy, you will work on an ad-hoc basis performing standard pharmacist duties in a closed-door setting. You will be responsible for providing coverage in times of high demand or when regular pharmacists are on paid leave.

• All other duties as assigned by the Pharmacist-in-Charge.

Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Minimum one year experience in a retail or long-term care pharmacy; 3+ years preferred.
• Must possess a PA State Board of Pharmacy Pharmacist License.
• Experience supervising pharmacy technicians.
• Minimal typing speed of 40WPM preferred.
• Medical Records experience preferred.
• Experience with FrameworkLTC preferred, not required.
• Positive personality who can work well within a team.
• Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Can de-escalate and troubleshoot problems within the pharmacy.
