Job summary

Tarrytown Expocare Pharmacy is hiring a Pharmacy Technician- Production for our Rocky Hill, CT location. This on-site role supports long-term care prescriptions, packaging, labeling and delivery preparation.

Qualifications

• Active CT State Board of Pharmacy Technician license.
• Ability to perform pharmacy calculations accurately.
• Understanding of prescription terminology and labeling requirements.
• Able to work with little oversight and guidance.
• High attention to accuracy and organization.

Responsibilities

• Pull stock bottles from inventory and stage prescriptions for packaging.
• Accurately dispense and label prescription orders.
• Prepare unit dose packaging when needed (e.g., blister cards).
• Pull pre-packed blister cards and apply prescription labels as required.
• Sort and organize completed prescriptions for delivery or filing.
• Perform quality assurance checks as directed.
• Prepare orders for delivery to facilities or patients.
• Participate in other duties as assigned.
• Actively label and dispense orders, including unit dose packaging and final prepares for delivery.

Location: ONSITE at our Rocky Hill CT location

Duties & Responsibilities

• Pull correct stock bottles from inventory and stage prescriptions for packaging.
• Accurately dispense and label prescription orders.
• When appropriate, prepare unit dose packaging (e.g., blister cards) based on the directions for use, either by hand or using packaging machines.
• When appropriate, pull the correct pre-packed blister card and affix prescription labels.
• Sort and organize completed prescriptions.
• Perform quality assurance checks as directed.
• Prepare orders for delivery.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• As a Pharmacy Technician, you will actively label and dispense prescription orders, including providing unit dose packaging (e.g., blister cards). You may also address the organizing, categorizing, and preparing of finalized prescriptions for delivery.

Requirements

Skills & Abilities

• Must possess an active CT State Board of Pharmacy Technician License.
• Can perform pharmacy calculations.
• Understands basic pharmacy language to interpret prescriptions.
• Ability to complete projects promptly.
• Ability to work with little oversight and/or guidance.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times and traverse close quarters quickly.
• Must be able to stand on feet for the duration of an eight (8) hour shift.
