SpecialtyRx seeks a Licensed Pharmacist to join our high-impact LTC pharmacy team. Evaluate orders, ensure accurate dispensing, and collaborate with nursing staff and physicians to optimize therapy in long-term care facilities.

Qualifications

• Must be an active pharmacist licensed by KY Board of Pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate medication orders for drug appropriateness, dosage, interactions, and administration.
• Ensure medicines are correctly dispensed, supplied, and labeled.
• Communicate with nursing staff, physicians, and healthcare team about medication-related queries.
• Supervise preparation of medicines.
• Make therapy-change recommendations to physicians and facilities staff when necessary.
• Investigate and resolve medication-related queries.
• Maintain customer databases with medical history and clinical data.

License Pharmacist Responsibilities:

• Evaluate medication orders for appropriateness of drug, dosage, potential interactions, and proper administration.
• Ensure that dispensed medicines are correctly supplied and labeled.
• Communicate with facilities’ nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare team members in regard to medication-related query.
• Supervise the preparation of any medicines.
• Make recommendation for therapy changes to the physician and client facilities staff, if necessary.
• Investigate and resolve medication-related queries.
• Maintain customers’ database to include medical history, clinical, laboratory data, etc.

Shift:

7on/7off rotating schedule; 2pm-12:30am Tuesday- Wednesday every other week,

Qualifications:

• Active Pharmacist with KY Board of Pharmacy a must.
• Previous experience in Long Term Care preferred.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, accurately, and efficiently.
• Must be multi-tasking and reliable.
• Computer literate, knowledge of Frameworks LTC system, PLUS.
• Ability to physically perform light lifting.
• Ability to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time.
