Job summary

Tarrytown Expocare Pharmacy is hiring a Pharmacy Technician- Production for our Rocky Hill, CT location. This onsite role supports long-term care dispensing, packaging, labeling, and delivery of prescriptions.

We seek a candidate with an active CT Pharmacy Technician license, strong calculation skills, and the ability to handle prescriptions with minimal supervision. Growth and a collaborative environment are highlighted in our team.

Qualifications

• Must possess an active CT State Board of Pharmacy Technician License.
• Can perform pharmacy calculations.
• Understands basic pharmacy language to interpret prescriptions.

Responsibilities

• Pull correct stock bottles from inventory and stage prescriptions for packaging.
• Accurately dispense and label prescription orders.
• Prepare unit dose packaging (e.g., blister cards) as directed.
• Pull pre-packed blister cards and affix prescription labels.
• Sort and organize completed prescriptions.
• Perform quality assurance checks as directed.
• Prepare orders for delivery.
• Label and dispense prescription orders and prepare final prescriptions for delivery.

Hours: Monday-Friday 8am - 4:30pmEST

Location: ONSITE at our Rocky Hill CT location

Duties & Responsibilities

• Pull correct stock bottles from inventory and stage prescriptions for packaging.
• Accurately dispense and label prescription orders.
• When appropriate, prepare unit dose packaging (e.g., blister cards) based on the directions for use, either by hand or using packaging machines.
• When appropriate, pull the correct pre-packed blister card and affix prescription labels.
• Sort and organize completed prescriptions.
• Perform quality assurance checks as directed.
• Prepare orders for delivery.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• As a Pharmacy Technician, you will actively label and dispense prescription orders, including providing unit dose packaging (e.g., blister cards). You may also address the organizing, categorizing, and preparing of finalized prescriptions for delivery.

Requirements

Skills & Abilities

• Must possess an active CT State Board of Pharmacy Technician License.
• Can perform pharmacy calculations.
• Understands basic pharmacy language to interpret prescriptions.
• Ability to complete projects promptly.
• Ability to work with little oversight and/or guidance.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times and traverse close quarters quickly.
• Must be able to stand on feet for the duration of an eight (8) hour shift.
