Job summary

SpecialtyRx, Inc. is a high-impact LTC pharmacy team seeking a licensed pharmacist to join our patient-centric care delivery.

This role focuses on evaluating medications, ensuring accurate dispensing, and communicating with nursing and medical staff in long-term care settings. The position requires active Kentucky Pharmacist licensure, LTC experience preferred, and the ability to work the overnight 4/10 schedule with occasional weekends.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist with KY Board of Pharmacy (must).
• Previous LTC experience preferred.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, accurately, and efficiently.
• Must be able to multitask and be reliable.
• Computer literate; knowledge of Frameworks LTC system, PLUS.
• Ability to perform light lifting.
• Ability to sit and stand for prolonged periods.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate medication orders for drug appropriateness, dosage, interactions and proper administration.
• Ensure dispensed medicines are correctly supplied and labeled.
• Communicate with facilities’ nursing staff, physicians and healthcare team members about medication-related queries.
• Supervise preparation of medicines.
• Recommend therapy changes to physicians and client facilities staff if necessary.
• Investigate and resolve medication-related queries.

License Pharmacist Responsibilities

• Evaluate medication orders for appropriateness of drug, dosage, potential interactions, and proper administration.
