Job summary

Tarrytown Expocare Pharmacy is seeking a PRN Pharmacist to support our Rocky Hill, CT facility on an ad‑hoc basis. You will handle standard pharmacist duties in a closed‑door setting and cover high‑demand periods or paid leaves.

The role requires a CT pharmacist license, at least one year of retail/LTC experience, and strong order entry skills. PRN hours are M‑F 8AM–5PM EST, onsite in Connecticut.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year experience in a retail or long‑term care pharmacy; 3+ years preferred.
• Must possess a CT State Board of Pharmacy Pharmacist License.
• Order Entry experience is required.
• Minimal typing speed of 40WPM preferred.
• Medical Records experience preferred.
• Experience with FrameworkLTC preferred.
• Positive personality who can work well within a team.
• Ability to function well in a high‑paced and at times stressful environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Can de‑escalate and troubleshoot problems within the pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Manages workflow processes including pharmacist verification and labeling/packaging.
• Reviews medication orders and evaluates their completeness and appropriateness.
• Complies with federal and local pharmacy laws as regulated by the State Boards, DEA, and FDA.
• Performs duties with a friendly, team‑oriented approach.
• Maintains required licenses or certifications in good standing.
• Complies with all company policies and standards.
• All other duties as assigned by the Pharmacist‑in‑Charge.
