Job summary

Tarrytown Expocare Pharmacy is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to join our Order Entry Team in Lawrence, KS. The role involves entering new or refill orders accurately and assisting with insurance claim adjudication within our long-term care pharmacy setting.

Ideal candidates have a KS Pharmacy Technician license, PTCB, and at least one year of order entry experience, with strong communication skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• One year minimum experience in order entry in a retail or long‑term care pharmacy setting.
• Must possess a KS State Board of Pharmacy Technician License.
• PTCB certification required.
• Experience with FrameworkLTC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and efficiently enter new or renewed orders.
• Adjudicate insurance claims and resolve rejections.
• Properly handle order exceptions and clarifications such as refill-too-soon, invalid orders, etc.
• Communicate effectively with leadership and peers.

Requirements

Skills & Abilities

• Minimum one year experience in order entry in a retail or long‑term care pharmacy setting
• Must possess a KS State Board of Pharmacy Technician License.
• PTCB is required.
• Experience with FrameworkLTC is preferred.
• Type an average of 60 wpm.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Can meet order deadlines.
• Ability to function well in a high‑paced and at times stressful environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Understands basic pharmacy language to interpret prescriptions.
• Can perform pharmacy calculations.
• Is available for occasional overtime.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to withstand long hours of computer screen time.
• Repetitive motion deskwork.
