Job summary

Major Health Partners seeks a PRN Patient Access Clerk to serve as the initial contact for registration/admission and related services. You will identify uninsured patients and coordinate with MedAssist when appropriate, while handling calls, paging, and basic order entry with a focus on patient-centered service.

This role may float to various registration sites within the health system; weekend/shift variability is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively under time pressure and maintain a courteous demeanor.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with diverse populations.
• Front-desk and patient intake experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Represent Major Health Partners as the initial contact for Patient Access Services including registration/admission.
• Identify uninsured patients and communicate with MedAssist when appropriate.
• Answer and transfer incoming calls, paging, and order entry support.
• Provide courteous customer service to patients and families; support registration functions.
• May float to various registration sites within the health system.
