Job summary

Kingman Regional Medical Center is seeking a Patient Access Representative to handle patient registrations, verify benefits, collect copays, and ensure accurate data entry in the EHR system. The role requires strong customer service, multitasking, and the ability to work varying shifts including nights and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities include preregistering and discharging patients, obtaining pre-authorizations, balancing cash, and assisting with scheduling and authorizations.

Qualifications

• Able to multitask, prioritize appropriately, and manage time efficiently.
• Effective oral and interpersonal communication skills.
• Demonstrates ability to utilize a variety of technological resources (phone, computer hardware, various software programs, fax, scanner).

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and support patient satisfaction goals.
• Pre-register, register, schedule, reschedule, and discharge patients per guidelines; verify/update patient records and ensure EHR accuracy.
• Balance daily cash, verify insurance eligibility, collect co-pays/deductibles, and obtain necessary pre-authorizations.
• Lead PAR tasks: supervise PAR team, train new hires, perform QA audits, assist with staffing and processes.
