Job summary

Trinity Health seeks a Part-time, PRN Patient Access Account Specialist to support outpatient and inpatient registration and insurance verification. The role includes collecting patient payments and ensuring eligibility and pre-certifications are in place, while guiding patients and hospital staff with information.

Provides support across departments and participates in data reporting to improve patient access processes.

Qualifications

• Entry-level customer service experience accepted.
• Knowledge of insurance verification processes preferred.
• Familiarity with hospital registration and payer requirements helpful.

Responsibilities

• Perform outpatient and/or inpatient registration and insurance verification.
• Collect patient financial liability payments and ensure financial requirements are met (including Medicare needs, pre-certifications and referrals).
• Provide general information to hospital users, patients, families and physician offices.
• Distribute analytical reports and support operational projects as needed.
