Job summary

Akumin is seeking an MRI Technologist for a PRN role serving the Boot Ranch and Trinity, FL areas. The position focuses on safe, high‑quality imaging in a fast‑paced outpatient setting.

Responsibilities include patient safety, image production per protocols and standards, effective communication with patients and radiologists, contrast safety administration, EMR/PACS proficiency, and assisting with staff training as needed. Local travel may be required.

Qualifications

• ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification as allowable by contract.
• Valid state license required.
• CPR/BLS from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC). ACLS certification where applicable.
• Minimum 3 years technologist experience.
• Ability to work at several locations and travel locally.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for Patient Safety, including pre-screening for contra-indications and screening.
• Produces high quality diagnostic images following imaging protocols and standards.
• Demonstrate competency with different MR equipment and power injection equipment.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA and communicate with patients and radiologists.
• Train and orient new technologists and MR Technologist Assistants as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by leadership.
