Job summary

Akumin is hiring a PRN MRI Technologist for our South Florida facilities to perform MRI procedures and produce high-quality diagnostic images. The technologist will work under licensed supervision, handle contrast administration, and use Akumin’s EMR, PACS, and DICOM systems.

Flexibility is required to cover shifts on a per-diem basis, with at least one shift every 30 days. Responsibilities include patient safety, image quality, and adherence to RadSite ARRT/ARMRIT standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred.
• ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification as allowable by contract.
• State license, if applicable, required.

Responsibilities

• Produce cross-sectional MRI images for diagnostic interpretation.
• Acquire data for diagnosis at request of licensed practitioner.
• Prepare, administer, and document contrast administration per laws and policy.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and interact with staff and patients.
• Train and orient new technologists and assistants as needed.
• Cover shifts as a per-diem technologist and ensure at least one shift every 30 days.
