Job summary

Akumin is seeking a PRN MRI Technologist to perform MRI procedures and ensure high-quality diagnostic images across multiple Florida facilities. You will support contrast administration, maintain EMR/PACS/DICOM proficiency, and collaborate with radiologists and staff to deliver patient-centered care.

The role requires ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification where applicable, state licensing, CPR/BLS, and a minimum of 3 years of experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's Degree preferred.
• ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification as allowed by contract.
• State license, if applicable.
• CPR/BLS from AHA or ARC; ACLS where applicable.
• Valid driver's license, as applicable.
• Minimum 3 years technologist experience.
• Ability to work at several locations.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Organizational, multi-tasking, and critical thinking skills.
• Basic computer applications knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Produce high quality diagnostic MRI images per imaging protocols.
• Communicate effectively with radiologists and staff; maintain patient confidentiality.
• Demonstrate competency in contrast safety and administration.
• Operate AKumin’s EMR, PACS and DICOM systems for image sharing.
• Train and orient new technologists and assistants as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
