Job summary

Akumin is seeking a PRN MRI Technologist for Florida facilities. The role focuses on producing high-quality MRI images, safely administers contrast, and maintains EMR/PACS/DICOM proficiency. Flexibility to cover shifts across locations is essential.

Ideal candidates have ARRT MR or ARMRIT, a state license if applicable, and at least 3 years of technologist experience, with a commitment to patient care and safety. Per-diem scheduling supports coverage needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
• ARRT MR or ARMRIT certification as allowed by contract.
• State license, if applicable, required.
• CPR/BLS/ACLS as applicable.
• Minimum 3 years technologist experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI procedures and produce high quality diagnostic images.
• Prepare and document contrast administration.
• Operate EMR, PACS, and DICOM systems.
• Train and orient new technologists and assistants.
• Maintain patient safety and confidentiality under HIPAA.
