Job summary

Akumin is seeking a PRN MRI Technologist to perform MRI procedures and produce high quality diagnostic images for patient care.

You will work as needed across assigned sites in Florida, ensuring patient safety, site protocols, and precise use of imaging and contrast administration. Prior ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification and state licensure are required, with strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification as allowed by contract.
• State license, if applicable.
• CPR/BLS from AHA or ARC; ACLS where applicable.
• Minimum 3 years technologist experience.
• Ability to work at several locations and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Produce high quality diagnostic MRI images following protocols.
• Ensure patient safety, pre-screening and contrast administration per policy.
• Operate and document contrast injections and vascular access where indicated.
• Communicate effectively with radiologists, staff and patients.
• Train new technologists and support staff as needed.
