Job summary

Akumin is seeking a PRN MRI Technologist to perform MRI procedures and produce diagnostic images across multiple locations. You will work under licensed practitioners, handle contrast administration, and ensure patient safety.

Responsibilities include maintaining imaging quality, operating EMR/PACS/DICOM systems, and supporting staff with onboarding and coverage. Prior experience and ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification are preferred, with licensure and CPR/BLS current.

Qualifications

• ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification as required by contract
• State licensure as applicable
• CPR/BLS from AHA/ARC; ACLS where applicable
• Strong patient care and communication skills
• Ability to travel and work at multiple Akumin locations

Responsibilities

• Produce high quality MRI images and ensure patient safety
• Perform and document contrast administration per policy
• Maintain proficiency with EMR, PACS, and DICOM systems
• Train and orient staff as needed
• Carry out other duties as assigned by leadership
