Job summary

Akumin is seeking a PRN MRI Technologist to join our radiology teams at South Florida facilities. You will produce high-quality cross-sectional images for diagnostic interpretation, manage contrast administration, and operate PACS/DICOM and Akumin’s EMR systems, all while adhering to imaging protocols and safety policies.

The role requires ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification (or equivalent), a state license where applicable, CPR/BLS, and a minimum of three years of technologist experience.

Qualifications

• ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification as allowable by contract.
• State license, if applicable.
• CPR Certification, BLS from AHA/ARC; ACLS where applicable.
• Minimum 3 years technologist experience.
• Ability to work at several locations.
• Strong customer service, organizational and multitasking skills.
• Basic knowledge of computer applications.
• Local travel may be required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Produce cross-sectional MRI images for diagnostic interpretation.
• Prepare, administer and document contrast per policy.
• Operate and troubleshoot MRI equipment and EMR/PACS/DICOM.
• Train and orient new technologists and assistants.
• Ensure patient safety and HIPAA compliance.
• Maintain imaging protocols and quality standards.
