Job summary

Akumin is seeking a PRN MRI Technologist for South Florida facilities to perform MRI procedures, including contrast administration, and produce high quality diagnostic images for interpretation by licensed practitioners.

The role requires ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification, state license if applicable, and flexibility to cover shifts at multiple sites while maintaining HIPAA-compliant patient records and collaborating with radiologists and staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification as allowable by contract in lieu of ARRT.
• State license, if applicable, required.

Responsibilities

• Produce high quality MRI images in line with imaging protocols and accreditation guidelines.
• Perform MRI procedures, including contrast administration, per physician orders and policy.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR and PACS systems and ensure patient confidentiality.
• Train and orient new technologists and staff as needed.
• Cover shifts as a per-diem technologist and respond to coverage requests.
