Job summary

Akumin is seeking a PRN MRI Technologist for our South Florida facilities. You will perform MRI procedures, prepare and document contrast administration, and ensure high-quality images for diagnosis.

The role requires ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification, state licensing where applicable, and strong patient communication. You will collaborate with radiologists and staff, maintain EMR/PACS/DICOM proficiency, and be flexible to cover shifts as needed across locations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred.
• ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification as allowed by contract.
• State license if applicable; CPR/BLS required, ACLS where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality diagnostic MRI images following protocols and accreditation guidelines.
• Maintain patient safety and HIPAA compliance during procedures.
• Administer and document contrast; operate EMR, PACS, and DICOM systems.
• Train and orient new technologists and assistants as needed.
• Communicate effectively with radiologists and staff to support patient care.
