Job summary

Akumin is hiring a PRN MRI Technologist to perform high-quality MRI procedures at South Florida facilities on a per-diem basis, with a focus on safety, accuracy, and patient care. You will work under licensed practitioners to obtain diagnostic images and manage contrast administration while complying with institutional policies.

The role requires ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification where contract allows, state licensure, and CPR/BLS; travel across sites may be needed.

Qualifications

• ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification as permitted by contract.
• State license if required by location.
• CPR/BLS certification from AHA or ARC.

Responsibilities

• Produce cross-sectional MRI images for diagnostic interpretation.
• Prepare, inject and document contrast administration per policy.
• Maintain patient safety and HIPAA compliance across interactions.
• Operate and troubleshoot MRI equipment and imaging workflows.
• Train and orient new technologists and support staff.
