Job summary

Akumin is seeking a PRN MRI Technologist for South Florida facilities to perform diagnostic MRI procedures, acquire high-quality images, and ensure patient safety. The role requires shift coverage flexibility across multiple sites.

Candidates must have ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification, a state license where applicable, CPR/BLS, and a minimum of 3 years technologist experience. Travel between sites may be required; cross-functional collaboration is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience required; Associate's Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification as allowable by contract in lieu of ARRT
• State license, if applicable required.
• CPR Certification, BLS from AHA or ARC; ACLS where applicable.
• Valid state driver’s license, as applicable required.
• Minimum 3 years technologist experience.
• Ability to work at several locations.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Organizational, multi-tasking, and critical thinking skills.
• Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs.
• Local travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for Patient Safety, including pre-screening and access control.
• Produces high quality diagnostic images per protocols and ARRT/ARMRIT standards.
• Communicate with radiologists and customers; maintain HIPAA compliance.
• Demonstrate contrast safety and administration, including peripheral IVs and other access points.
• Train and orient new technologists and staff on site or remotely.
• Other duties as assigned by leadership.
