Job summary

Akumin South Florida facilities is seeking a PRN MRI Technologist to produce cross-sectional images for diagnostic interpretation and to assist licensed practitioners in MRI procedures. You will prepare, administer and document contrast administration in accordance with laws and policy, and interact with staff, patients and families through the EMR.

The role requires ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification, state license if applicable, CPR/BLS, and a minimum of 3 years experience.

Qualifications

• ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification as allowable by contract in lieu of ARRT.
• State license, if applicable.
• CPR/BLS from AHA or ARC (ACLS where applicable).
• 3+ years technologist experience and ability to work at several locations.

Responsibilities

• Produce high quality diagnostic MRI images per imaging protocols and standards.
• Assist licensed practitioner and independently perform MRI procedures as needed.
• Manage contrast administration and documentation per policy and laws.
• Maintain EMR, PACS, and DICOM proficiency and interact with staff and patients.
• Train and orient new staff and MR Technologist Assistants as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
