Job summary

Akumin is hiring a PRN MRI Technologist to perform MRI procedures at various Florida facilities. You will acquire diagnostic images, administer contrast when required, and ensure patient safety while maintaining EMR and PACS proficiency.

Requirements include ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification, a state license, CPR/BLS, and a minimum of three years’ experience as an MRI technologist. Flexible scheduling with coverage across sites is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred.
• ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification required/allowable by contract
• State license required
• CPR/BLS from AHA or ARC
• Valid driver’s license if applicable
• Minimum 3 years technologist experience
• Ability to work at multiple locations
• Strong customer service skills
• Organizational, multi-tasking and critical thinking abilities
• Basic computer skills and applications

Responsibilities

• Produce high quality diagnostic MRI images.
• Maintain patient safety and contrast administration per policy.
• Explain procedures and ensure patient comfort.
• Train and orient new technologists and assistants.
• Perform or assist with MR procedures and image sharing in EMR/PACS systems.
• Complete site competencies and respond to coverage requests.
• Adhere to HIPAA and company policies.
• Other duties as assigned by leadership.
