Job summary

Akumin is seeking a PRN MRI Technologist to support our South Florida facilities. You will perform MRI procedures, prepare and document contrast administration, and interact with patients, staff, and radiologists to ensure quality imaging and patient safety.

The role requires ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT credentials, state license (where applicable), and CPR/BLS; 3+ years of technologist experience is preferred. Flexible scheduling supports per-diem coverage and travel between sites.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree preferred.
• ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification as allowable by contract.
• State license, if applicable, required.
• CPR/BLS (AHA/ARC) certification; ACLS where applicable.
• Minimum 3 years technologist experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety and pre-screening.
• Produce high-quality MRI images per protocols and standards.
• Communicate with radiologists; maintain HIPAA confidentiality.
• Demonstrate contrast safety and administration competency.
• Train and orient new technologists and staff.
• Cover shifts as PRN per 30-day minimum.
