Job summary

Akumin is seeking a Patient Coordinator for its mobile unit in Wenatchee, WA. This PRN role supports patient registration, scheduling, insurance verification, and patient education to ensure a positive visit.

You will greet patients, assist with check-in, collect payments when required, maintain accurate records, and coordinate with clinical staff to deliver smooth imaging and care experiences. CPR certification is required prior to hire where mobile radiology is offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience required.
• CPR Certification must be obtained prior to hire for Mobile Radiology and Oncology.
• valid state driver's license required.
• Ability to work at several locations; local travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients, customers and visitors in person and over the phone.
• Register patients in various systems.
• Answer phone calls professionally and courteously.
• May collect monies for time-of-service patient responsibility.
• Verify insurance coverage and obtain prior authorization as needed.
• Perform patient screening and assist in transferring to/from exam rooms.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and stock supplies.
• Ensure accurate documentation of patient visits in electronic systems and on paper.
