Job summary

Akumin is hiring a Patient Coordinator for our Mount Ascutney Hospital mobile unit. This full-time role focuses on delivering excellent patient service, handling registrations, insurance verification, and helping patients understand procedures.

You will assist in patient transport, documentation, and area preparation in a mobile radiology/oncology setting. Required are a High School Diploma and CPR certification; a valid driver’s license and ability to travel between locations are also expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR Certification must be obtained prior to hire for Mobile Radiology/Oncology.
• Valid state driver’s license may be required.
• Ability to work at multiple locations.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients, customers and visitors in person and over the phone.
• Perform patient registration in various systems and verify insurance when needed.
• Explain the appointment process and ensure patients understand what to expect.
• May collect time-of-service payments and assist with insurance verifications.
• Prepare and maintain patient records and documentation in HIPAA compliant manner.
• Support clinical staff with documentation and image delivery as required.
