Job summary

Akumin Inc. invites applications for a Patient Coordinator on our mobile radiology units serving the Seattle area. This PRN role focuses on delivering excellent patient experiences, registering patients, and coordinating care across multiple sites.

The role requires strong customer service, the ability to work across several locations, and basic computer skills. CPR certification is required prior to hire; bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience is required.
• CPR Certification must be obtained prior to hire.
• Valid state driver’s license required.
• Ability to work at several locations.
• Local travel may be required to support multiple sites.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
• COVID-19 vaccination may be a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients, customers and visitors in person and over the phone.
• Register patients in various systems and answer calls professionally.
• Collect payments for time‑of‑service patient responsibility when applicable.
• Verify insurance coverage and obtain prior authorization when needed.
• Assist in patient transport, screening, and providing pre/post‑procedure instructions.
• Schedule appointments and ensure accurate documentation of visits.
