Job summary

Helms Home Care seeks a Registered Nurse to provide infusion therapy in patients' homes across North Carolina. This PRN role supports our home infusion program with compassionate, personalized care.

Responsibilities include catheter access, IV meds, patient education, and timely visit notes; two visits per week are expected. Qualified candidates hold an active RN license, at least 1 year of infusion experience, reliable transportation, and access to a printer/scanner/fax.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license with competency in infusion therapy and catheter care.
• Minimum 1 year of infusion therapy experience preferred.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform catheter access and care (Peripheral IVs, ports, PICC/central lines) and monitor vitals.
• Administer medications (Abx, TPN, IVIG) and conduct blood draws as needed.
• Educate patients on self-administration and document visits promptly in charting.

Responsibilities:

• As per the Patients needs perform catheter access & care (peripheral IVs, port-a-caths, PICC/central lines), vitals/assessments, medication administration (Abx, TPN, IVIG, and other specialty meds), blood draws
• Provide patient education on self-administration of medication
• Make visit notes through electronic charting and submit promptly

Qualifications: Requirements:

• Current Registered Nurse license with competent in the duties described above
• Minimum 1-year experience in infusion therapy and/or catheter maintenance and care
• Reliable transportation, access to a printer/scanner/fax machine
• Must be able to communicate promptly with our scheduling personnel
• Expect to do 2 visits per week
• Licensed driver with valid automobile insurance
