Job summary

Helms Home Care is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide infusion therapy services in patients\' homes in Virginia as a PRN position. The role requires catheter access & care, IV medication administration, vitals, and patient education. Expect to make two visits per week with reliable transportation and access to basic office tech for charting.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license.
• Minimum 1-year experience in infusion therapy and/or catheter maintenance and care.
• Reliable transportation and access to printer/scanner/fax.
• Must communicate promptly with scheduling personnel.

Responsibilities

• Perform catheter access & care (peripheral IVs, port-a-caths, PICC/central lines) and monitor vitals.
• Administer medications (Abx, TPN, IVIG, and other specialty meds) and perform blood draws.
• Submit visit notes through electronic charting in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:

• As per the Patients needs perform catheter access & care (peripheral IVs, port-a-caths, PICC/central lines), vitals/assessments, medication administration (Abx, TPN, IVIG, and other specialty meds), blood draws
• Provide patient education on self-administration of medication
• Make visit notes through electronic charting and submit promptly

QualificationsRequirements:

• Current Registered Nurse license with competent in the duties described above
• Minimum 1-year experience in infusion therapy and/or catheter maintenance and care
• Reliable transportation, access to a printer/scanner/fax machine
• Must be able to communicate promptly with our scheduling personnel
• Expect to do 2 visits per week
• Licensed driver with valid automobile insurance
