Job summary

Helms Home Care in Savannah, GA seeks a registered nurse to provide in-home infusion therapy on a PRN basis. You will perform catheter access, administer IV meds, monitor vitals, and educate patients in their homes.

The role requires a current RN license, at least 1 year in infusion therapy or catheter care, reliable transportation, and the ability to complete ~2 visits per week. Mileage reimbursement and supplies are provided.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license with competence in infusion duties.
• Minimum 1 year experience in infusion therapy and/or catheter care.
• Reliable transportation, access to a printer/scanner/fax machine.
• Must be able to communicate promptly with scheduling personnel.
• Expect to do 2 visits per week.

Responsibilities

• As per the Patients needs perform catheter access & care (peripheral IVs, port-a-caths, PICC/central lines), vitals/assessments, medication administration (Abx, TPN, IVIG, and other specialty meds), blood draws
• Provide patient education on self-administration of medication
• Make visit notes through electronic charting and submit promptly
