Job summary

Helms Home Care in Frederick, MD is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide home infusion therapy on a PRN basis. You will perform catheter access and care, administer antibiotics and IV meds, take vitals, and educate patients on self-administration while documenting visits in the charting system.

Requirements include an active RN license, at least 1 year in infusion therapy or catheter care, reliable transportation, and the ability to coordinate with scheduling for approximately two visits per

Responsibilities:

• As per the Patients needs perform catheter access & care (peripheral IVs, port-a-caths, PICC/central lines), vitals/assessments, medication administration (Abx, TPN, IVIG, and other specialty meds), blood draws
• Provide patient education on self-administration of medication
• Make visit notes through electronic charting and submit promptly

QualificationsRequirements:

• Current Registered Nurse license with competent in the duties described above
• Minimum 1-year experience in infusion therapy and/or catheter maintenance and care
• Reliable transportation, access to a printer/scanner/fax machine
• Must be able to communicate promptly with our scheduling personnel
• Expect to do 2 visits per week
• Licensed driver with valid automobile insurance
