Job summary

Helms Home Care in Sapphire, NC is seeking a PRN Infusion RN to provide in-home infusion therapy and catheter care across North Carolina. This role covers peripheral IVs, ports, PICCs/central lines, medication administration, and patient education, with flexible scheduling to fit two visits per week.

You will document visits electronically, coordinate with scheduling, and rely on reliable transportation to patient homes.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in good standing.
• 1+ year infusion therapy experience.
• Reliable transportation; access to a printer/scanner/fax.

Responsibilities

• Perform catheter access and care (peripheral IVs, ports, PICCs/central lines), vitals/assessments, medication administration, and blood draws.
• Provide patient education on self-administration of medication.
• Document visits through electronic charting and submit promptly.

Responsibilities

• As per the Patients needs perform catheter access & care (peripheral IVs, port-a-caths, PICC/central lines), vitals/assessments, medication administration (Abx, TPN, IVIG, and other specialty meds), blood draws


• Provide patient education on self-administration of medication


• Make visit notes through electronic charting and submit promptly

QualificationsRequirements

• Current Registered Nurse license with competent in the duties described above


• Minimum 1-year experience in infusion therapy and/or catheter maintenance and care


• Reliable transportation, access to a printer/scanner/fax machine


• Must be able to communicate promptly with our scheduling personnel


• Expect to do 2 visits per week


• Licensed driver with valid automobile insurance
