Job summary

Helms Home Care is seeking a Registered Nurse for PRN home infusion nursing to perform infusion therapy and catheter care in patients' homes in the Great Mills, MD area. The position supports patients with compassionate, personalized care and requires travel to patient homes.

The role involves administering medications, monitoring vitals, and educating patients on self-management, with notes entered in an electronic charting system and visits planned twice weekly.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license in good standing.
• Minimum 1 year infusion therapy experience or catheter maintenance experience.
• Reliable transportation and access to printer/scanner/fax machine.
• Prompt communication with scheduling personnel.
• Expect to do 2 visits per week.

Responsibilities

• Perform catheter access and care (peripheral IVs, ports, PICC/central lines), vitals/assessments, medication administration, and blood draws.
• Provide patient education on self-administration of medication.
• Make visit notes through electronic charting and submit promptly.

Responsibilities

• As per the Patients needs perform catheter access & care (peripheral IVs, port-a-caths, PICC/central lines), vitals/assessments, medication administration (Abx, TPN, IVIG, and other specialty meds), blood draws
• Provide patient education on self-administration of medication
• Make visit notes through electronic charting and submit promptly

QualificationsRequirements

• Current Registered Nurse license with competent in the duties described above
• Minimum 1-year experience in infusion therapy and/or catheter maintenance and care
• Reliable transportation, access to a printer/scanner/fax machine
• Must be able to communicate promptly with our scheduling personnel
• Expect to do 2 visits per week
• Licensed driver with valid automobile insurance
