Job summary

Helms Home Care Llc is seeking registered nurses to provide infusion therapy nursing services to patients in their homes in Great Mills, MD. This PRN Home Infusion role offers competitive pay and mileage reimbursement.

Responsibilities include catheter access and care, vitals/assessments, medication administration, blood draws, and patient education with prompt visit notes in the electronic charting system. Two visits per week are expected; reliable transportation required.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in good standing.
• Minimum 1 year infusion therapy experience.
• Reliable transportation and ability to visit patients at home.

Responsibilities

• Catheter access and care (peripheral IVs, port-a-caths, PICC/central lines) and vitals/assessments.
• Medication administration (antibiotics, TPN, IVIG, and other meds) and blood draws.
• Provide patient education on self-administration of medications.
• Make visit notes through electronic charting and submit promptly.
• Two home visits per week as scheduled by the agency.

Responsibilities:

• As per the Patients needs perform catheter access & care (peripheral IVs, port-a-caths, PICC/central lines), vitals/assessments, medication administration (Abx, TPN, IVIG, and other specialty meds), blood draws


• Provide patient education on self-administration of medication


• Make visit notes through electronic charting and submit promptly

QualificationsRequirements:

• Current Registered Nurse license with competent in the duties described above


• Minimum 1-year experience in infusion therapy and/or catheter maintenance and care


• Reliable transportation, access to a printer/scanner/fax machine


• Must be able to communicate promptly with our scheduling personnel


• Expect to do 2 visits per week


• Licensed driver with valid automobile insurance
