Job summary

Helms Home Care is seeking a Registered Nurse for PRN in-home infusion therapy in Evansville, IN. You will perform catheter access, monitor patient vitals, administer medications, and educate patients on self-care. Reliable transportation is required and expect two visits per week.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license.
• Minimum 1 year infusion therapy and/or catheter maintenance experience.
• Reliable transportation and access to essential office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform catheter access and care (peripheral IVs, ports, PICC/central lines), monitor vitals and assessments, administer medications including Abx, TPN, IVIG, and other therapies.
• Educate patients on self-administration of medications.
• Submit visit notes through electronic charting promptly.

Responsibilities

• As per the Patients needs perform catheter access & care (peripheral IVs, port-a-caths, PICC/central lines), vitals/assessments, medication administration (Abx, TPN, IVIG, and other specialty meds), blood draws
• Provide patient education on self-administration of medication
• Make visit notes through electronic charting and submit promptly

Qualifications & Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse license with competent in the duties described above
• Minimum 1-year experience in infusion therapy and/or catheter maintenance and care
• Reliable transportation, access to a printer/scanner/fax machine
• Must be able to communicate promptly with our scheduling personnel
• Expect to do 2 visits per week
• Licensed driver with valid automobile insurance
