Job summary

Helms Home Care in Clifton Forge, VA seeks a PRN Infusion Nurse to deliver in-home infusion therapy. You will perform catheter access, administer medications, monitor patients, and educate on self-administration of therapy.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license with competence in the duties described above.
• Minimum 1 year of infusion therapy and/or catheter maintenance experience.
• Reliable transportation, access to a printer/scanner/fax machine.

Responsibilities

• Perform catheter access and care (peripheral IVs, ports, PICC/central lines), vitals and med administration.
• Provide patient education on self-administration of therapy.
• Submit visit notes promptly via electronic charting.

Responsibilities:

• As per the Patients needs perform catheter access & care (peripheral IVs, port-a-caths, PICC/central lines), vitals/assessments, medication administration (Abx, TPN, IVIG, and other specialty meds), blood draws
• Provide patient education on self-administration of medication
• Make visit notes through electronic charting and submit promptly

QualificationsRequirements:

• Current Registered Nurse license with competent in the duties described above
• Minimum 1-year experience in infusion therapy and/or catheter maintenance and care
• Reliable transportation, access to a printer/scanner/fax machine
• Must be able to communicate promptly with our scheduling personnel
• Expect to do 2 visits per week
• Licensed driver with valid automobile insurance
