Job summary

Helms Home Care in Hopkinsville, KY is seeking Registered Nurses to provide infusion therapy nursing services in patients' homes on a PRN basis. This role requires compassionate, patient‑centered care delivered in home settings.

You will perform catheter access and care, administer medications, monitor vitals, draw blood, and educate patients. Two visits per week are typical, with mileage reimbursement and the use of electronic charting to submit notes promptly.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in good standing.
• Minimum 1 year infusion therapy experience.
• Reliable transportation and access to a printer/scanner/fax.
• Prompt communication with scheduling personnel.

Responsibilities

• Perform catheter access & care (peripheral IVs, ports, PICC/central lines).
• Monitor vitals/assessments and administer medications.
• Perform blood draws and manage infusion-related lab work.
• Provide patient education on self-administration of medications.
• Submit visit notes through electronic charting promptly.

Responsibilities:

• As per the Patients needs perform catheter access & care (peripheral IVs, port-a-caths, PICC/central lines), vitals/assessments, medication administration (Abx, TPN, IVIG, and other specialty meds), blood draws
• Provide patient education on self-administration of medication
• Make visit notes through electronic charting and submit promptly

QualificationsRequirements:

• Current Registered Nurse license with competent in the duties described above
• Minimum 1-year experience in infusion therapy and/or catheter maintenance and care
• Reliable transportation, access to a printer/scanner/fax machine
• Must be able to communicate promptly with our scheduling personnel
• Expect to do 2 visits per week
• Licensed driver with valid automobile insurance
