Job summary

Helms Home Care is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse to provide in-home infusion therapy in Macon, GA. Responsibilities include catheter access, medication administration, vital signs, and patient education for home-based care.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform catheter access and care for peripheral IVs, ports, and catheters, monitor vitals and assessments, and administer medications as prescribed.
• Provide patient education on self-administration of medication and therapy.
• Document visit notes in the electronic charting system and submit promptly.

Responsibilities:

• As per the Patients needs perform catheter access & care (peripheral IVs, port-a-caths, PICC/central lines), vitals/assessments, medication administration (Abx, TPN, IVIG, and other specialty meds), blood draws
• Provide patient education on self-administration of medication
• Make visit notes through electronic charting and submit promptly

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Current Registered Nurse license with competent in the duties described above
• Minimum 1-year experience in infusion therapy and/or catheter maintenance and care
• Reliable transportation, access to a printer/scanner/fax machine
• Must be able to communicate promptly with our scheduling personnel
• Expect to do 2 visits per week
• Licensed driver with valid automobile insurance
