Job summary

OSF HealthCare in Danville, IL is seeking a Communications Specialist to provide telephone assistance to team members, patients, physicians and the public, serving as the keeper of physician call schedules and lists used to contact personnel. The role responds quickly to emergent calls and follows established paging protocols.

This PRN position requires evening hours (1:30 PM - 10:00 PM), every other weekend and every other holiday, with limited benefits and no guaranteed hours.

Qualifications

• High School/GED required.
• At least 1 year of customer service experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide telephone assistance to team members, patients, physicians and the public.
• Maintain physician call schedules and contact lists.
• Respond to emergent calls quickly and follow paging protocol.
