Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree required; BSN preferred.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• 2+ years of full-time RN experience in ER or similar setting
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications; TNCC preferred
• English fluency in written and spoken form
• Texas PA or state-specific clearances for candidates as applicable

Responsibilities

• Plan, prioritize and provide age-appropriate nursing care in the ER.
• Document medical records accurately and legibly.
• Monitor and record signs, symptoms and patient status.
• Follow physician orders and revise interventions as needed.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.
• Collect specimens and perform lab tests per policy and CLIA/COLA rules.
• Adhere to infection control and aseptic techniques.
• Manage admission, discharge and transfers.
• Assist in evaluating and adjusting nursing care plans.
• Prepare equipment and assist with procedures as required.
