Emerus Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Registered Nurse for a PRN Emergency Department role in Plano, Texas. The position supports a 16-bed small-format hospital with a swing shift schedule and flexible PRN hours.

You will provide age-appropriate nursing care in a fast-paced ER, with emphasis on accurate documentation and adherence to safety and infection control protocols. The ideal candidate holds an Associate’s Degree (BSN preferred), is licensed as an RN in the state, and has 2+ years ER

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree required.
• BSN preferred.
• Current state RN licensure required.
• 2+ years ER RN experience required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required; TNCC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, direct and evaluate patient care in the ER.
• Provide age-specific and developmentally appropriate nursing care.
• Document accurately in medical records.
• Observe and record signs, symptoms and patient status.
• Follow physician orders and protocols in care delivery.
• Collect specimens and perform laboratory tests per policies.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
• Assist with admission, discharge and transfer procedures.
• Prepare equipment and supplies for procedures.
• Attend required staff meetings and mandatory trainings.
