Job summary

Emerus Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Room to assess, plan, direct, and evaluate patient care in a 16-bed small-format hospital. The Swing Shift (Flexible) PRN role supports urgent care in the ER and requires strong clinical judgment and teamwork.

Requirements include an Associate’s Degree, current RN licensure, 2+ years ER experience, and BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications. English fluency is essential; PA-related clearances are not required for this posting.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree required; BSN preferred.
• Current state RN licensure without sanctions required.
• 2+ years of full-time ER or comparable nursing experience.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications; TNCC not required.
• English fluency in written and spoken form.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prioritize and provide age-appropriate nursing care in the ER.
• Complete accurate, concise documentation in medical records.
• Observe, record, and report patient signs and conditions.
• Suggest revisions to interventions and outcomes as needed.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.
• Follow physician orders in delivering nursing care.
• Collect specimens and perform lab testing per policies.
• Adhere to infection control and aseptic techniques.
• Handle admissions, discharges and transfers.
• Participate in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care.
• Assemble equipment and supplies for procedures and assist others.
