Job summary

Emerus operates a 16-bed small-format hospital in Fort Worth, TX, seeking a Registered Nurse to cover the Emergency Room on a swing shift (11am-11pm). This PRN role focuses on assessing, planning, directing, and evaluating patient care in a fast-paced ER setting.

The ideal candidate has an Associate’s degree (BSN preferred), current RN license, and 2+ years ER experience, with BLS/ACLS/PALS. Fluency in English and compliance with infection control are required.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree required; BSN preferred.
• Current state RN licensure without sanctions.
• 2+ years RN experience in ER or comparable setting.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications; TNCC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide age-specific, developmentally appropriate nursing care in the ER.
• Document medical records accurately and legibly.
• Monitor and record patient signs, symptoms, and status.
• Follow physician orders and assist with procedures.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.
• Perform admission, discharge and transfer procedures.
• Prepare equipment and supplies for procedures and assist others.
