Job summary

Emerus Holdings, Inc. in Schertz, TX is seeking a Night Shift Emergency Room Nurse responsible for assessing, planning, directing, and evaluating patient care in the ER.

You will deliver age-appropriate nursing care, document clearly, and follow physician orders to ensure patient safety. Requirements include an Associate’s Degree, RN license, 2+ years ER experience, and active BLS/ACLS/PALS; TNCC preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree is required; BSN is preferred.
• Current state RN license without sanctions is required.
• Minimum of 2+ years full-time RN experience in ER or comparable setting.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications; TNCC preferred.
• Fluency in English, written and oral communication.
• Act 33/Act 73 clearances completed or obtained before start date.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, direct and evaluate patient care in ER.
• Provide age-specific nursing care with appropriate documentation.
• Observe and record vital signs, symptoms and behavior.
• Follow physician orders and ensure patient safety.
• Collect lab samples and perform tests per policy.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality of records.
• Admit, discharge and transfer patients as needed.
• Participate in QA activities and staff meetings.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.
