Job summary

Emerus is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Emergency Room to assess, plan, direct, and evaluate patient care. The role is PRN with a Swing Shift and a focus on fast, high-quality nursing care in a 16-bed small-format hospital setting.

Responsibilities include documentation, infection control, and adherence to physician orders while ensuring patient privacy. Requires ER experience, current RN license, and BLS/ACLS/PALS; TNCC preferred.

Qualifications

• RN with ER or comparable experience required.
• Current state RN licensure with no sanctions.
• 2+ years ER nursing experience.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from AHA or Red Cross; TNCC preferred.
• Fluency in English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prioritize, and provide age-specific nursing care applying advanced clinical knowledge.
• Complete accurate, concise documentation on medical records.
• Observe and record signs, symptoms and patient status.
• Present proposed revision of interventions and outcomes.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality of information.
• Follow physician’s orders in delivery of nursing care.
• Collect laboratory samples and perform testing per policies and CLIA regulations.
• Adhere to infection control and aseptic techniques in care delivery.
• Perform admission, discharge and transfer procedures.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care given.
• Assemble equipment and supplies for diagnostic or treatment procedures; assist others as needed per policies.
• Handle care in accordance with Board of Nursing regulations.
