Job summary

BDO USA is seeking a Director of Business Development to lead local office and industry revenue initiatives. You will build market presence, identify new opportunities, and collaborate with Practice Leaders and the Chief Business Development Officer to shape localBD strategy and office plans.

You will coordinate with Marketing and Sales channels, qualify opportunities, and drive pursuit efforts through proposal support and multi-channel campaigns, guided by firm strategy and regional targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and 5+ years in BD in professional services.
• 7+ years BD with HS diploma or GED.
• Experience developing relationships with C-level executives and referral sources.

Responsibilities

• Develops and executes office/industry BD plan with Practice Leaders, industry leaders, principals and supervisor.
• Identifies target markets and key accounts in alignment with guidelines.
• Leads lead generation activities including cold calling, seminars, mail/email campaigns and referrals.
• Collaborates on BD plans and reports progress to leadership.
• Maintains CRM and reports pipeline and activity metrics monthly.
• Travel and client meetings as necessary to advance opportunities.
